Laboratory of Algebraic Geometry (SU-HSE, Faculty of Mathematics, Moscow) announces a number of temporary positions (postdoc and visiting professorship) for researchers in algebraic geometry and related fields.
Laboratory of Algebraic Geometry is a newly established research body working in active cooperation with the European and American research universities.
Applicants are supposed to have established track record in mathematics, proficiency in English, and publications in good journals. There is no obligatory teaching load, but active participation in seminars and workshops at the Faculty of Mathematics at HSE, Independent University and Steklov Institute is expected. Competition is open to applicants of any citizenship; knowledge of Russian is welcome, but not necessary.
Salaries are competitive on European level; extra funding for going to conferences and inviting visitors is available.
The term of appointment is one year, extension is possible. Deadline for applications is August 15.

Postdoc applicants should also name 3 well-known mathematicians who agree to write their recommendation letters, and ask these mathematicians to submit their letters at this site.
The shortlist is compiled based on the following criteria: an external referee committee evaluation, h-index, and a total number of publications in refereed journals for the last 3 or 5 years.
